Abstract
In this study, it was intended to formulate floating Mucoadhesive tablets containing Acebutolol hydrochloride, an antihypertensive agent, to release the drug for a prolonged period of time in the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract in order to first-pass metabolism for improvement in bioavailability, to decrease the frequency of dosing, and to improve patient compliance.
