Abstract
In order to treat diseases like lymphoma, leukaemia, immune-deficiency disorders, congenital metabolic abnormalities, hemoglobinopathies, and myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative syndromes, more than 25,000 hematopoietic stem cell transplants (HSCTs) are carried out annually.
